Because I work from home, it is vital for me to pre-plan my day to best maximize my efficiency and avoid burnout. The biggest part of that plan always seems to be “stay flexible.”

If you had asked me a couple years ago if this journey would be in my future, I would not have guessed it in my wildest dreams. Now, I can’t imagine it any other way. I’m still in the middle of finishing the last pending aspects for our brand launch, and unexpected challenges keep creeping up. Something I’ve learned along the way is to focus on my tasks and accomplishments one day at a time. Just like parenting, this is the birth of a new baby, and it shouldn’t be rushed.
Confession: I’m a minimalist. There are only three products on my bathroom counter that I use to care for my skin daily. I believe in efficiency, not clutter. I can get a little overwhelmed by multi-step, product-intensive beauty regimes. As a solopreneur and work-from-home mother of two, I certainly don’t have time for it. Even if I did have time, like in a fantasy world where I could have 30 minutes of uninterrupted time in the bathroom, I still wouldn’t choose to follow a routine with too many steps or products. I just don’t think it’s necessary.
